Art
School of Arts & Humanities
Milligan College offers a fine arts major with an art concentration. Students completing this program acquire a strong foundation in visual art skills, insights, and overall aesthetic awareness. Outstanding students are prepared to apply to graduate school, enabling them to teach college or to pursue careers as professional artists. The art world also provides numerous opportunities to well-trained creative young artists in related art vocations-gallery and museum work, arts organization jobs, and free-lance art. For further information on this major, refer to the information under the listing “Fine Arts.”
The art minor fits well with numerous majors, including but not limited to Bible, business administration, communications, humanities, and psychology. The study of art may serve to foster students’ avocational interests as well as to prepare them for more concentrated art studies in the future.
