Milligan freshman earns Gold ADDY® Award

Ashley Roberts

MILLIGAN UNIVERSITY, Tenn. (March 18, 2022) — Milligan University freshman Ashley Roberts of Kingsport, Tennessee, recently won a Gold ADDY® award in poster design at the American Advertising Federation Northeast Tennessee (AAF NETN) Awards.

The American Advertising Awards honor the best and most creative advertising work from students and professionals in advertising. Awards are presented in three levels: local, district and national. Winners in each level are qualified to compete in higher levels.

“Receiving this award was a great honor and I am thankful for the encouraging and experienced professors at Milligan,” said Roberts. “This was an amazing opportunity, especially getting to see all the creative work from across the area.”

As one of the industry’s largest creative competitions, nearly 35,000 professionals and students enter the American Advertising Awards competition each year.

“I’m proud we continue the 11-year tradition of participating in the competition and winning ADDY® awards,” said Art Brown, associate professor of communications. “I’m excited for Ashley and pleased that her excellent work was recognized by AAF NETN. I also look forward to future competitions when student work from newer programs like interactive media design and digital illustration will join graphic design.”
