December Commencements

Milligan University will hold four small commencement ceremonies this December to recognize and celebrate the university’s May, July and December 2020 graduates. All ceremonies will occur in the Mary B. Martin Auditorium located in Seeger Chapel and follow stringent COVID-19 safety protocols.

“We are extremely proud of our graduates and have been working for several months to determine the best way to help them celebrate their successes with their classmates and families while keeping everyone as safe as possible,” said Milligan President Dr. Bill Greer.

The commencement ceremonies are divided by academic programs in order to keep the ceremonies very small. They will occur on the following days and times:

  • Friday, Dec. 4, at 7 p.m.
Master of Education, Doctor of Education, Education Specialist and Master of Science in Counseling programs
  • Saturday, Dec. 5, at 10 a.m.
Master of Arts in Humanities, Master of Business Administration, Master of Science in Information Systems and all seminary programs
  • Saturday, Dec. 5, at 2 p.m.
Master of Science in Occupational Therapy and Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies programs
  • Friday, Dec. 11, at 7 p.m.
    Undergraduate programs

All graduates scheduled to walk in the commencement ceremonies were required to confirm their participation. Each graduate will receive four tickets by mail, and only ticket holders may attend.

Masks will be required for all attendees, and groups of seats will be marked for social distancing. No childcare will be provided based on safety concerns. The chapel will be cleaned and sanitized between each service.

Milligan’s on-campus portion of the semester ends Nov. 24, so the campus will have very limited activity at the time of the ceremonies.

Each ceremony will be streamed on Milligan’s Facebook page and at milligan.edu/streaming.

Graduates should closely monitor email and the Milligan website in case any changes are needed in the coming weeks.
