Coronavirus precaution response

See more about Milligan’s Coronavirus response HERE

Feb 28, 2020 — A coronavirus designated COVID-19, which began late last year in Wuhan, China has now spread to other countries, including the United States. No cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed at Milligan College or in the Northeast Tennessee region.

Milligan’s administration has been in contact with multiple community partners including local and regional health departments, Ballad Health, The Tennessee Department of Emergency Management, and the Tennessee Independent Colleges and Universities Association (TICUA) to discuss the college’s preparedness for the possibility of the virus spreading into our area.

All Milligan students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to closely monitor travel guidelines when making Spring Break or other travel plans. We will continue to monitor the situation and develop further plans as more information becomes available.

More information about COVID-19 is available from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention at www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/about/prevention-treatment.html.
