Milligan’s annual ‘Campus Work Day’ beautifies college

MILLIGAN COLLEGE, Tenn. (Aug. 16, 2019) —This morning, Milligan College faculty and staff stepped away from their normal work routines to assist the physical plant staff with some final campus beautification efforts before students arrive on campus.

The college’s annual “Campus Work Day” began with a continental breakfast at 8 a.m. in Milligan’s McCormick Dining Center located in Sutton Hall. After breakfast, employees divided into groups and completed a checklist of indoor and outdoor projects, including landscaping, painting and cleaning. The day culminated with an employee lunch at noon.

“This annual tradition allows us to come together as a community to prepare for our students’ return to campus,” said Milligan President Dr. Bill Greer. “It also provides the chance to say thank you to Milligan’s physical plant staff who work to make campus as beautiful as possible every day.”

Milligan students start arriving on campus on Aug. 24, with classes beginning Aug. 27.
