‘Buffalo A Cappella Bash’ will feature wide variety of vocal music

MILLIGAN COLLEGE, Tenn. (April 30, 2019)—No instruments are allowed for the fun-filled choral concert “Buffalo A Capella Bash” on Saturday, May 4, at 7:30 p.m. in Milligan College’s McGlothlin-Street Theatre located in the Gregory Center. The event is free and open to the public.

The concert will feature Milligan’s choral ensembles: Heritage and Women’s Chorale, directed by Dr. Noah DeLong, associate professor of music, as well as Herd Mentality, directed by Carrie Klofach, assistant professor of musical theatre.

“Our singers enjoy ending the year with the fun and challenge of contemporary a cappella music,” said DeLong. “Saturday’s concert will feature three of Milligan’s vocal ensembles performing music that is sure to please.”

Featured songs include Dolly Parton’s “Jolene,” featuring a solo by sophomore business major Bekah Saylor, of Jonesborough, Tennessee; “Edelweiss,” from the musical “The Sound of Music”; the recent hit “Happy,” by Pharrell Williams; and “His Eye is On the Sparrow.”
