Milligan announces new staff members


MILLIGAN COLLEGE, Tenn. (March 12, 2019)—Milligan welcomes three new staff members in marketing and enrollment.

Keila Lau-Lopez joins the public relations and marketing office as a graphic designer. Lau-Lopez graduated from Milligan in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in graphic design and photography.

She previously served as a marketing intern with Ballad Health, as well as the artist-in-residence at Milligan.

Peter Mermilliod serves as an admissions recruiter for Emmanuel Christian Seminary at Milligan. Mermilliod is a 2016 Milligan graduate who majored in humanities. He enrolled in courses at Emmanuel while an undergraduate student and has a passion for the value of theological education.

Mermilliod previously worked for Pine Cove Camps, the largest counselor-based church camp in the nation, recruiting college students to summer staff, managing large events and hosting groups at the camp.

Stacy Shankle serves as the admissions recruiter for healthcare programs. She will recruit for Milligan’s graduate programs, including counseling, occupational therapy and the physician assistant program, in addition to the RN to BSN program.

Shankle holds a B.S. in counseling and Bible from Johnson University. She has worked as a student assistance counselor, case manager and patient advocate for several healthcare facilities. She also has worked in sales and operations for National American Miss. She most recently worked part-time as a teaching assistant at Munsey Preschool in Johnson City, Tennessee.
