OT info session set for April 27

MILLIGAN COLLEGE, Tenn. (April 2, 2018)—Students interested in studying occupational therapy can find out more about Milligan College’s Master of Science in Occupational Therapy (MSOT) program on Friday, April 27, from 9:30 a.m.-12 p.m. Students will meet in Milligan’s McGlothlin-Street Occupational Therapy Center located in the Thompson Center on Emmanuel Hill.

Students will have the opportunity to take a campus tour, review the admissions process and talk with current OT students. Dr. Jeff Snodgrass, director of the OT program, will give students an overview of the program and lead a Q&A session afterwards. A certified occupational therapist for 20 years, Snodgrass has published research extensively in peer-reviewed journals and authored several book chapters in the areas of leadership, rehabilitation and prevention of work-related disorders.

In addition, Snodgrass is responsible for instructing courses in Milligan’s OT program in the areas of work rehabilitation, leadership and management of health services, and health care administration and policy. He earned a Bachelor of Science in occupational therapy from Eastern Kentucky University, a Master of Public Health from East Tennessee State University and a Doctorate of Health Science from Trident International University.

“This event is the perfect opportunity for students to learn more about what it’s like to be an occupational therapy student at Milligan,” said Jennifer Duran, admissions recruiter for healthcare programs. “The experience of touring the OT lab and Milligan’s campus as well as interacting with the program’s expert faculty is invaluable for a student considering the program.”

Milligan’s MSOT program is the only master’s level occupational therapy program in Northeast Tennessee. The program prepares therapists to address the physical, psychological and cognitive aspects of a person’s well-being through engagement in activity in all of their environments.
