Milligan announces staff changes in marketing and enrollment management

MILLIGAN COLLEGE, TN (Sept. 12, 2012) — Milligan College announces several staff changes in its marketing and enrollment management area.

Courtney Kieslich was named director of graduate and professional studies (GPS), a position she has fulfilled in an interim role since January 2012. She previously served as Milligan’s director of graduate admissions.

In her new position, Kieslich provides administrative and recruiting direction to Milligan’s non-traditional learning programs. These programs include Milligan’s four graduate programs in business administration (MBA), counseling (MSC), education (M.Ed.) and occupational therapy (MSOT), as well as undergraduate adult degree completion programs in business administration, early childhood education and computer information systems.

Kieslich holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of South Carolina and an MBA from Milligan. She was the recipient of the “40 Under Forty” designation by “The Business Journal of Tri-Cities” and is a member of the East Tennessee College Alliance.

Jennifer Graham joins the GPS staff as a recruiter and marketing coordinator. She will recruit for Milligan’s MSC and MSOT programs, as well as oversee marketing communications for all GPS programs. Graham, a 2009 Milligan graduate, previously served as senior admissions counselor in Milligan’s office of undergraduate admissions.

Melissa Harkleroad joins the GPS staff as teacher education admissions coordinator. She oversees recruiting and admissions for Milligan’s M.Ed. and early childhood education degree completion programs. A native of Johnson City, Tenn., Harkleroad has a bachelor’s degree in fine arts and a Master of Arts in teaching (MAT) from East Tennessee State University. Before coming to Milligan, she worked as a teaching assistant at several Johnson City elementary schools.

In Milligan’s undergraduate admissions area, Troy Petrie was named assistant director of admissions and will help oversee the admissions counseling staff. Petrie is a 2010 Milligan graduate.

In addition to the changes in the GPS area, Milligan recently combined its offices of public relations and marketing, which are now housed in a new location adjacent to the Milligan music office on Richardson Road. As director of public relations and marketing, Chandrea Shell provides oversight for the office while working to increase the college’s presence and influence in the community. In addition, Melissa Nipper was named communications coordinator, expanding her role with Milligan’s media relations and campus communication efforts.

Jennifer Greenwell was named marketing and community relations coordinator. In this role, she will oversee and manage Milligan’s advertising and social media plans and help the college develop new partnerships and visibility in the Tri-Cities area. Greenwell is a 2005 Milligan graduate and served in Milligan’s undergraduate admissions office for six years, most recently as assistant director of admissions.

Tommy Parker, a 2012 Milligan graduate, was named web manager and design coordinator. He recently converted Milligan’s website to a responsive design, ensuring that visitors will be able to easily read and navigate the site no matter what device they use to access it.
