Runner to perform organ recital
Milligan College, Tenn. (March 16, 2009) — Dr. David Runner, professor of music at Milligan College, will present an organ recital on Friday, March 27, at 7:30 p.m. in Seeger Memorial Chapel located on the Milligan College campus.
The program will contain a varied and diverse organ repertoire of music by composers such as Johann Ludwig Krebs, Hugo Distler, Robert J. Greene, Jr., Ethel Smyth, Libby Larsen and Eugene Gigout.
Runner holds doctor of musical arts and master of music degrees from Eastman School of Music in Rochester, N.Y. He completed his undergraduate degree in music at Boise State University. He is a member of the American Guild of Organists and the Johnson City Civic Chorale and has played recitals throughout the United States and England.
