Runner to perform organ recital


Milligan College, Tenn. (March 20, 2008) — Dr. David Runner, professor of music at Milligan College, will present an organ recital on Friday, March 28, at 7:30 p.m. in Seeger Memorial Chapel located on the Milligan College campus.

The program will contain a varied and diverse organ repertoire of music by composers such as Johann Ludwig Krebs, Johann Peter Kellner, Max Reger, George Thalben-Ball and more. Additionally, Runner will perform a set of variations for pedals alone by Thalben-Ball based on a theme by violinist Niccolo Paganini.

Runner holds doctor of musical arts and master of music degrees from Eastman School of Music in Rochester, N.Y. He completed his undergraduate degree in music at Boise State University. He is a member of the American Guild of Organists and the Johnson City Civic Chorale.
