Milligan sets spring record enrollment

MILLIGAN COLLEGE, TN (Feb. 11, 2008) — Milligan College has established a new spring enrollment record this semester, with a total of 1,011 students, the highest spring enrollment ever recorded at the college.

The solid spring enrollment comes on the heels of a record enrollment last fall.

“This represents a 10 percent increase over our enrollment last spring and is only three students shy of our record fall 2007 enrollment,” said Lee Fierbaugh, vice president for enrollment and marketing.

Milligan has seen steady enrollment growth in the past decade from new academic and athletic programs, stronger retention among upperclassmen, and growth in graduate and adult degree completion programs, explained Fierbaugh. It is a culmination of several years of reengineering their approach to student recruitment, admission, retention, marketing and other key areas.

“Milligan has worked very hard at not only attracting and enrolling students, but delivering a quality education, helping them continue to afford that education, and ensuring that they graduate not only with a diploma but with an experience and knowledge-base that will serve them for life,” said Milligan President Donald R. Jeanes.

“The entire faculty and staff contribute to a successful enrollment year, because it is the total effort that makes a Milligan education strong,” said Jeanes.
