Senior photography exhibit announced

MILLIGAN COLLEGE, TN (February 9, 2007) — Emily Hand, a senior photography major from Milligan College, will hold a reception for her senior photography exhibit at the Milligan College Art Gallery located in the lower level of Derthick Hall on Sunday, February 11, from 2 to 4 p.m.

The show, titled “Distant Yet Familiar Faces,” will feature both color and black and white photography and will include selections from Hand’s photo essay on Johnson City’s homeless population.

“I hope that each person will be challenged to see the familiar in the distant faces represented in these photographs and come to realize that these faces are not all that distant but that we are all one in Christ,” said Hand.

Hand’s exhibit will be on display until February 17 and is free and open to the public.

For more information about the exhibit, please contact Alice Anthony, assistant professor of art at Milligan College, at 423.461.8970.
