Milligan College holds 2005 juried art exhibition


MILLIGAN COLLEGE, TN (April 29, 2005) — Ten Milligan fine arts students received awards for their art as part of the 2005 juried art exhibition in the Milligan College Art Gallery. The exhibition includes about 40 works submitted by several Milligan College students.

Students honored with awards of excellence include Julie Grimm of Jonesborough, Tenn.; Jennifer Kraicinski of Bellville, Ohio; and Jessica Williams of Johnson City, Tenn.

Students honored with awards of merit include Erin Blasinski of Johnson City, Tenn.; Sara Clark of Columbus, Ind.; Kory Drake of Blairsville, Ga.; Theron Humphrey of Virginia Beach, Va.; Kim Morris of Adelaine, Australia; Chad Parker of Milligan College, Tenn.; and Sarah Shepherd of Englewood, Fla.

Blaire White, curator of the Carroll Reece Museum, was the juror for the exhibition and selected the works for awards of excellence and awards of merit.

Milligan College offers a fine arts major with a photography emphasis and a photography minor.  Students also may take elective courses in basic and intermediate photography.
