Milligan photography students document Bays Mountain

By Autumn Hamby, PR Intern

MILLIGAN COLLEGE, TN (November 7, 2002) — Twenty Milligan College photography students have been on assignment since late summer at Bays Mountain Park in Kingsport documenting the park’s natural beauty. These students best work will be on display at the park’s nature center Nov. 2 through Dec. 5.

“There have been some amazing prints coming out of the dark room,” said Alice Anthony, assistant professor of the practice of art. “I know this will be an exciting time for every student involved in this exhibit, not to mention a wonderful documentary of Bays Mountain.”

The Bays Mountain Exhibition features 40 black and white and color photographs that reflect the park’s animal life and beautiful landscape.

“I hope this display will not only offer a chance to see the quality of the students’ work, but also bring to the attention to the many sights that park visitors have not noticed before,” said Mike Chesman, head of the exhibits department at Bays Mountain.
