Milligan theatre depicts joys of parenthood

MILLIGAN COLLEGE, TN (February 22, 2002) – Do you know a young couple who recently had a baby? Have you experienced the joys of first time parenthood? Then you’ll love this show!

The joys, agonies and antics of parenthood and babyhood are explored in the sidesplitting comedies “Labor Pains” and “Baby” presented by the Milligan College Theatre Department.

“Part of the reason that I chose these two plays is that in the aftermath of September 11, people have been drawn to family and spending time with their families,” said producer/director Richard Major, professor of theatre at Milligan.

“For those couples who are starting a family or thinking about starting a family, this is a reminder that life is short and we should take advantage of every day. These plays represent hope for the future.”

The plays will be presented next week on Feb. 27, 28, and March 1 at 8 p.m., in SUB 7 Coffee House in Milligan’s McMahan Student Center. Tickets are $5 and include a cup of coffee. Tickets are available now in the Milligan College bookstore or at the door. Seating is limited.
