Theatre for Young Audiences

The Milligan College Theatre for Young Audiences (TYA) has performed for nearly 20 years to thousands of local children.  TYA is directed by Richard Major, professor of theatre at Milligan College.

“These school performances are a tradition. The kids love the production, and it gives valuable experience to our students as well.” - Major

“Providing young people with the opportunity to experience theatre not only contributes to the development of their literacy skills and imagination, it also sets the stage for an enjoyment of the theatre later on in their lives. The Milligan College Theatre for Young audiences has consistently provided our students in Johnson City with well executed stories adapted for the stage,” said Charlotte Anderson.
