The Lady Buffs’ softball team began the fall season with a bang this past weekend, posting five wins out of six games played in the Milligan Fall Classic.

In a busy two days at Winged Deer Park in Johnson City, the Lady Buffs defeated Hiwassee College 3-1 and 3-0, Bluefield College 16-6, Virginia Intermont College 3-1 and Roan State Community College 8-3. The only loss the Lady Buffs incurred was to Lincoln Memorial University 5-7.

"I was very pleased with the way the team played this weekend in our tournament,” Head Coach Wes Holly said. “We had very solid hitting, the pitchers did an exceptional job, and it was a very good total team effort from all the players. If we can perform a little better on defense, I believe we will have a great team this year and I am very excited for this team."
