Wednesday evening the Lady Buffs' soccer team had their hands full when they squared off against King College at Anglin Field. The match ended in a disappointing loss of 3-1.

Despite the enthusiastic crowd of fans checkered with "Beat King" t-shirts, school spirit was not enough to beat the Tornadoes. Sophomore goalie Rosanna Couture worked hard to protect Milligan's goal, but was unable to stop three goals, two made in the first half and another in the second half.

However, the Buffs did not let the evening escape without Milligan junior Jenna Zutt putting in one goal on a free kick during the second half.

Head Coach Dave Dixon knew the challenges his team would face when playing King College and he was prepared to battle.

"We have played a very tough schedule so far,” Dixon said.

Freshman Taylor Jones agreed, "The season so far has been up and down. We have a young team, and we are learning to work together. Each game there are improvements.”
