SUB7 Coffeehouse
Come tomorrow and listen to Aaron Mansfield at SUB7.  Doors open at 8 p.m., and music starts at 9 p.m. The featured drink will be oreo shakes!

 

Fall Formal Tonight
CAB hosts the Fall Formal tonight from 8 p.m. to12 a.m.  Put on your dancing shoes and head down to The Charles in downtown Johnson City.  Tickets are $10 and $16 for couples.

 

Appalachian Film Festival

Johnson City Symphony Orchestra in Seeger

Don't miss the Johnson City Symphony Orchestra featuring Ahn Trio at Seeger Memorial Chapel. Saturday at 8 p.m. This even is free to Milligan students and employees.

 

8 Strong Men Needed (Or really strong women): Volunteer Opportunity

Help load and unload sets and equipment for the Ballet Magnificat on October 27.   We will be unloading at around 11 a.m. and then loading the truck after the ballet is finished (around 10:30-11:30 p.m.). Contact JPAbner@milligan.edu for more information.

 

Organ recital in Seeger

Dr. Joby Bell will present an organ recital in Seeger Memorial Chapel on October 16th at 7:30 p.m. This event is free.

 

Biology 200 Field Trip

The Biology 200 Field Trip will occur May 10-25, 2008. The trip, which will visit Arizona, Utah and Colorado, is open to any student interested in the natural history of the Southwest-- its geology, flora and fauna. To sign up, contact Dr. Gary Wallace in the third floor of the Science Building. 

 

Beethoven Musical in Seeger

Don't miss Beethoven Lives Upstairs, a musical based on the acclaimed children's book and featuring the Milligan College Orchestra and a professional acting company from Chicago.

Saturday, October 20 @ 4 p.m. (60 minute show) - Great for audiences of all ages.

Ticket Prices (available at the door) - $10 adults; $3 students ages 12 and up; $1 children under 12

Angel Food non-profit food ministry

First Christian Church is looking for a few good men and women to help them process and distribute some Food Boxes. Volunteers will meet at First Christian Church in Elizabethton on October 27. Heavy lifters are requested to arrive at 6:30 a.m. to unload the truck; greeters at 8:30 a.m. For more information contact LINC.

 

Help with middle school youth

Munsey United Methodist Church needs two volunteers every Wednesday from 2:20 p.m. to 5 p.m. to help with the middle school program. Transportation can be provided.

 

High school youth needs help

East Unaka Christian Church needs helpers for the last Saturday of every month from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. for their high school gathering which includes movies, games, prizes and free food.

The Carter Rec. Center needs tutors. Contact Pam Foster at (423)461-8832.

Trunk or Treat Returns
Decorate your car, hand out candy, and win a $50 gift certificate to eat out.  Trunk or Treat returns Oct. 29, so gather four friends and sign up by email to LINC@milligan.edu.
