The women’s volleyball team was handed a disappointing loss Tuesday night to the Brevard Tornadoes, winning one of four games.
Early in the first game the Lady Buffs started off strong but Brevard did not trail far behind as Milligan took the game 30 to 27.
The second game looked promising for Milligan early on but quickly spiraled downward. Brevard took control and kept a steady lead. Milligan made a small comeback halfway through the game with hard-hit spikes by sophomores Ashley Lokken and Amanda Hyder, but it was not enough to pull out the game.
Despite their failure to make a significant recovery, Coach Hyatt said she hopes this will be “the big loss of the season” and the Lady Buffaloes will be on top in no time.
