While many students prepared for the upcoming TWIRP week, the Lady Buffs defeated Tennessee Wesleyan by a score of 2-0 Saturday afternoon.

The Lady Buffs scored the first goal in the 37th minute when sophomore Dagmar Yr Arnardottir scored with an assist from freshman Amy Boyd.

Although the team held off the Lady Bulldogs, Milligan was on the defense for most of the first half.

“We weren’t organized very well,” Arnardottir said. “We need to do a better job at getting forward.”

In the second half the offense became more aggressive, spending much of the clock on the Lady Bulldog’s territory.

The final goal of the game came in the last minute when junior Sarah Sereno scored on a pass from sophomore Stephanie Junkin.

Senior Tanya Rupert is hopeful the Lady Buff’s teamwork will improve. “We’re getting there - slowly but surely,” she said.

The win improves the Lady Buffs’ overall record to 6-2 and 3-1 in the conference.

Milligan faces the University of Mobile tomorrow on the home field.
