Dear Milligan Community:

I am one of the few Democrat students on this campus who chooses to voice my opinion.  Saturday morning I went to my car and discovered that someone had ripped my "Kerry/Edwards" bumper stickers off the back.  As a result, the paint on my trunk was peeled away.  This made me very angry.  My car has been vandalized.  My right to free speech has been violated.  I am not happy about this at all.  I do not ask you to agree with me in my decision to vote for John Kerry.  I was simply expressing my opinion.  I know of other instances of such vandalism, and I believe it shows a lack of respect to do things like this.  I find the whole situation to be a breakdown of Christian values.  No matter what you believe, it is not right to vandalize something in the name of that cause.  I have replaced the bumper stickers and will continue to replace them if this continues to happen.  Thank you for your time.

Peace and Love.
Emily Banks
