The Milligan College softball season begins Sunday against conference opponent
Union College (Ky.), and the team expects their hard work to pay off with key
wins, especially in the conference.
Head coach Wes Holly has high expectations for the team to go a long way this spring. “Hopefully the off-season has helped them be more focused and motivated,” he said.
“We have a strong pitching staff,” said senior Brandy Waddle, “Coach Holly has helped me a lot to control (my) pitching.”
In the previous season, the team finished 22-6 in the conference and 43-16 overall. The Lady Buffs also won the Appalachian Athletic Conference tournament and finished third in their NAIA region.
The Lady Buffs will return to their home field on Monday to play King College at 2 p.m.
