Beth Anderson
Beth Anderson is the director of the Institute for Servant Leadership, which is funded through the $1.9 million Lilly Endowment grant the college received last November.
As the director, she oversees the development and carrying out of goals of the Endowment. According to Anderson, The Institute for Servant Leadership provides an opportunity for Milligan to add to the educational curriculum and student life.
"(The Institute for Servant Leadership) can take what Milligan has been doing well and make it even better," Anderson said.
Anderson previously served as director for the American Heart Association of Northeast Tennessee. She has a bachelor's degree in business administration from East Tennessee State University and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in professional communication there.
Anderson is a native to this area and currently resides in Johnson City with her husband, Jeff, and 10-year-old daughter, Olivia.
Jeff Snodgrass
Jeff Snodgrass joins the graduate faculty as the assistant professor and admissions coordinator of occupational therapy.
Snodgrass has been an adjunct professor for occupational therapy for the past two years. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in occupational therapy at Eastern Kentucky University, and his master's degree of public health at East Tennessee State University. Snodgrass is currently working on his doctorate in health sciences at Touro University, an online university based in Cypress, Calif.
Snodgrass has high aspirations for the Occupational Therapy program.
"I would like for our MSOT program to become the entry-level graduate occupational therapy program of choice for the southeastern United States," he said.
Amanda Ruble
A 2003 graduate of Milligan College, Amanda Ruble serves as assistant to both Leslie Glover, director of student success, and Beth Anderson, director of the institute for servant leadership.
Although she has always known she wanted to pursue a career in counseling, her involvement in Youth Works urban ministry this summer opened up a new opportunity for her.
She received a scholarship to Emmanuel School of Religion where she is pursuing a master of divinity with an emphasis in counseling. Remaining a part of the Milligan community allows her to be a part of a Christian environment and work with the Institute.
Because she was just recently enrolled at Milligan, Ruble is acting as the "student connection" for the Institute for Servant Leadership.
"It's great since I just graduated (in May)," Ruble said. "I know what (the students) are going through."
