Spiritual Renewal week was an amazing experience for me.

The theme of the week was "Reconciliation". Guest speaker Joel Bidderman gave a message every night on the reconciliation of Christ with us. Through that reconciliation of our relationship, we gain the blessings of his love, renewal and redemption.

The intimate setting was touching, and the candlelight set the mood for sincere worship. It was so inspiring to see the Milligan community come together and pour their heart out in worship.

A drama was usually done each night depicting the world and how things can happen so fast that you don't even know when you've been swept away from God.

As a theatre major with hopes of pursuing Drama Ministry, being involved in the drama portion was wonderful. I really felt that the message was portrayed effectively through the acting, and people really embraced what was being presented to them.

Because the week was such a blessing on my heart, I think it's sad that this was only a weeklong event. By devoting my time to honest, pure and exalted worship every day, I noticed what a difference there was in my whole outlook on life. Things just seemed to be better when I wasn't focused on me, but instead was focused on the message of Christ.

Being able to gather with my brothers and sisters in Christ at the foot of the cross and sing with all my heart was an amazing experience that I will never forget.
