Faith in Serving
Campus Ministry

You'll soon discover what makes Milligan stand out from other schools. As our vision statement proclaims, Milligan is a place where Jesus Christ is exalted. We believe God has a unique plan for each of our lives -- for our hearts as well as our minds. Together we can form a new generation of Christian leaders who are intellectually and spiritually prepared to change lives and shape culture.

Milligan offers a vital and challenging spiritual life program where you will be strengthened and encouraged to live a vibrant Christian life. We are affiliated with the independent Christian churches and churches of Christ, but our inter-denominational student body is diverse. As a student, you can broaden your faith through weekly chapels, convocations and vesper services. And you'll have plenty of opportunities to participate in or lead worship services, prayer groups and Bible studies.

Spiritual Formation Program
While at Milligan, all full-time students are asked to participate in Spiritual Formation Programing (SFP) that helps nurture the Christian spirit, character, and worldview. Opportunities include chapel and convocation services, cross cultural mission trips, community service, devotional breakfasts, church leadership conferences, and FCA events. And you'll have plenty of opportunities to participate in or lead worship services, prayer groups, vespers, retreats, and Bible studies.

Service
Of course, the Christian faith is truly about serving others, and Milligan encourages students to put their faith in action by participating in mission and service projects in our own backyard and around the world. Here, you will reach out and become more aware of your culture and the world in which you will minister.

Church Affiliation
Throughout its history, Milligan has maintained an active relationship with the independent Christian Churches / Churches of Christ, but our interdenominational student body is diverse. Read about our Christian commitment.

Christian Curriculum & Faculty
It is a distinguishing characteristic of Milligan College that each course is taught with an awareness of how it fits into a biblical worldview. Such teaching is assured by the selection of a faculty who are strong and active in their Christian faith. To learn more, visit here.

Small Groups
Milligan College also seeks to foster faith development through small groups. Students are encouraged to participate in various kinds of small groups, some types may include: bible studies, accountability partners, prayer groups, men's/women's studies, couples groups, discipleship groups, as well as small groups offered by local churches. The Campus Ministry Team is responsible for initiating many small groups on campus. A student seeking more information concerning placement or types of groups available should speak to a member of this team or the Campus Minister.

Vespers
Sunday evening at 9:00 p.m. are set aside for Vespers under the direction the Campus Ministry Team. This is an informal time for worship in which all students are invited to participate. The program is varied, incorporating singing, sharing, speaking, special programs of fellowship. Vespers is an important part of the spiritual activities at Milligan College. This weekly event is held in lower Seeger.
