MY STORY
Friends.
The other
students at Milligan have really had an impact on me. There's an openness.
The age difference between freshmen and seniors doesn't matter. I've got
senior guys who are like brothers and mentors -- spiritually and
academically. Even those who have already graduated -- I keep in touch with
them and they help keep me accountable. There's a variety of opportunities
and ways at Milligan to get to know God and people.
Service.
I'm a Public
Leadership & Service major and I want to work with kids at a Christian camp
or an inner city program in a bigger city. I've always loved service. I'm
from a small town so I'm excited about different experiences and
opportunities. At Milligan, I've had lots of opportunities to work with
different organizations in the community. They want us to see what there is
to do out there and not just on the Milligan campus. They've encouraged me
to get out there and do other things.
They push me to
be better.
I met Dr. Abner at the
Youth in Ministry summer teen conference the summer before my senior year of
high school. He was really encouraging. He's been my professor and he and
his family have also become my friends. He continues to push me to grow and
strengthen my faith. I've also really liked getting to know Tony Jones
(Campus Activities Director). He's so involved with the students and it's
nice to be able to discuss classes and committee work. He listens and
answers a lot of my questions. Forming mentoring relationships with the
faculty and staff at Milligan is really cool.
How has Milligan helped "Raise YOUR
World"?
