Dr. Christine Browning has a Ph.D. in counselor education and supervision from the University of Mississippi. She earned a master’s degree and an educational specialist degree in school psychology from the University of Memphis, and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Crichton College (Memphis, Tenn.). She is a licensed professional counselor, a nationally certified counselor, and a senior psychological examiner. In addition, Dr. Browning is holds certificates in Narrative Focused Trauma Care (Levels I & 2) through The Allender Center at the Seattle School of Theology and Psychology. Browning joined Milligan’s faculty in 2013, after serving in different capacities at Crichton College/Victory University in Memphis, TN, including, associate professor of psychology and chair of the Department of Behavioral Sciences (2006-2013). Browning has published articles and presented at national and local conferences on the long term consequences of childhood sexual abuse. In 2016, Dr. Browning’s book chronicling her personal story, Psalms of My Heart, was published by Red Tent Living.
