MILLIGAN COLLEGE, Tenn. (March 12, 2012) — “Exposed,” a photography exhibit by Milligan College senior Cara Beth Quisenberry Brackins, opens Sunday, March 18, from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Milligan Art Gallery, located in the lower level of Derthick Hall. The exhibit will be on display through Friday, March 23. The event is free and open to the public.
The exhibit is an intimate portrayal of the photographer’s life and relationships, as viewed from the outside through portraiture. Most of the photos on display are black and white medium format.
“‘Exposed’ is a show of the last four years of my life,” said Brackins, a native of Unicoi County. “Each piece is an intimate look at the people who've made up that life, how I see them, how they see me and what we have become.”
Brackins is completing a degree in fine arts with an emphasis in photography and a minor in humanities. She currently lives with her husband in Johnson City.
