Daught to speak during chapel service

MILLIGAN COLLEGE , TN (January 23, 2006) — Milligan College reference librarian Gary Daught will speak during Milligan's chapel service on January 26.

Daught's message is entitled “Call to Worship: Entry into a New Time and a New Imagination” and is based on texts from Matthew 3:1-12 and Mark 1:14-15. Daught suggests the call to worship is a boundary of separation between the realm of our daily lives and the realm of God, but also serves as a point of entry for us into God's realm.

”Worship empowers us to live by the concerns, priorities and perspectives of God in our daily lives,” said Daught.

Daught holds a master's degree in library science from the University of Arizona, a master of divinity degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, and a master of theology degree from Union Theological Seminary in Richmond, Va.

He has taught Bible on a collegiate level and pastored churches in Tucson , Ariz. , and Manitoba , Canada . He also is an ordained minister in the Mennonite Church USA denomination.

Milligan College chapel services occur on Thursday mornings in Seeger Chapel at 11:00 a.m. These services are generally exclusively worship venues. Occasionally, lectures, dialogues or other forums may occur during the designated chapel time.
