Little Women, the musical

The critically acclaimed musical, Little Women, based on the novel by Louisa May Alcott, will be presented as a joint production with the Milligan College music and theatre departments. The playwright, Allan Knee, with lyrics and music by Mindi Dickstein and Jason Howland, richly enhances this ever-popular classic story of Jo March and her three sisters during the American Civil War. Jo’s ambition to become a famous writer is severely complicated by the 19th century expectations for women as she battles personal tragedies and prejudice.
