Guest organist concert at Milligan

MILLIGAN COLLEGE, TN (October 29, 2003) — Concert organist Brian Bailey will present a guest recital in Seeger Chapel at Milligan College on Saturday, Nov. 1, at 7:30 pm.

Bailey serves on faculty at Hayes School of Music at Appalachian State University, Boone, NC. There he coordinates the Sacred Music Degree program and teaches harpsichord. He directs the Appalachian Chorale, a choir including 100 voices from the college and community. He also plays the harpsichord for the ASU period ensemble, Harmonia Baroque. He performs extensively with recordist Eva Legene, cornettist Bruce Dickey and gambist Wieldand Kuijken.

Bailey holds degrees from Augstana College, Illinois, The Eastman School of Music and Indiana University. He is currently the organist for First United Methodist Church, Hickory, NC.
