Milligan now offers several programs of study at the Kingsport Center for Higher Education (KCHE). For more than 20 years, Milligan’s graduate and professional studies programs have been highly respected by the business community, area health care facilities, schools, and organizations. Classes are offered on a convenient schedule for working adults. Depending on the program, classes are hybrid, one night a week, one Saturday a month, or online.
Bachelor’s: Business Administration
With an emphasis in operations management, this 16-month program is exceptionally suited for the industrial and business climate of Kingsport and the surrounding area. Accelerated evening classes meet one night per week for only five weeks.
Bachelor’s: Early Childhood Education
In 18-23 months you can complete the Child and Youth Development major, and even opt to certify to teach PreK-3 with an additional semester of full-time student teaching. Accelerated evening classes—some face-to-face and some via iTV—meet one night per week for four to six weeks.
Bachelor’s: RN-BSN (Nursing)
If you are already an RN, you can earn your bachelor of science in nursing degree. The 57 semester hours of credit are delivered in a hybrid format, including online and face-to-face courses.
Master of Business Administration (MBA)
This 14-month graduate degree program specializes in operations management. 32 semester hours of credit are delivered in a hybrid format through accelerated classes that last from five to eight weeks. Meet for class one Saturday a month, and follow up with several weeks of on-going discussion, class participation and assignments — all facilitated by faculty using Internet-based resources.
Graduate Certificate in Operations Management
Already have an MBA or equivalent degree? Further specialize with a graduate certificate in operations management. Take just 9 semester hours of credit in accelerated classes that last five weeks. Each class includes an eight-hour, face-to-face meeting on a Saturday, and the remainder of the coursework is completed online.
