The Campaign for Milligan College
Founded in the aftermath of the Civil War, Milligan College began in a simple building on the banks of Buffalo Creek. From this humble beginning was born a college whose bold vision has given direction and purpose to young people for nearly a century and a half.
Milligan survived the World Wars, when dozens of its students and faculty were recruited out of their classrooms to fight in Europe and the Pacific. It also survived the Depression and lean financial years when faculty could not count on salaries and buildings fell into disrepair.
Despite facing these challenges, the college has never wavered from its mission to honor God by educating men and women to be servant leaders who positively impact the world for Christ. Thousands have studied at Milligan since those first days, and our cause remains as true and as important today as it was then.
