Student Media

The Milligan College Communications Department is home to several student-led media outlets and publications.

Milligan's student-run newspaper, The Stampede, serves both as a hands-on educational tool for journalism and other communications students and as a source of information, opinion, and commentary open to the entire college community. The Stampede appears both in print and online. Students from all areas of the college can work with The Stampede as volunteers, as students gaining academic credit, or as paid editorial staff members.

An opportunity for students to reinforce journalistic theory and practice as part of a team whose goal is to produce a quality bi-weekly program
which airs on the campus internal campus cable channel 97 and online.

Tune in and get music, news, sports, weather, and commentary. We are on the air 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Based in the mountains of East Tennessee, WUMC is operated by students of the college, as well as great faculty and staff.

WUMC works hard to bring you the best LIVE ONLINE BROADCASTS of special events on campus. WUMC is proud to be the "Voice of the Milligan College Buffaloes." Coverage of campus, local, and national sports is as close as your radio dial. A weekly sports call-in/talk show examines sports in-depth.
