Resources Relating to Specific Primal Traditions
La Santeria (La Regla Lucumi) "Santeria" is Cuban for "the way of the saints." It is a fusion of Yoruba African and Spanish Catholic traditions, especially regarding the saints. The largest growth of this tradition in the past several years has been in the U.S. among Cuban exiles.

Understanding African Theology in the 20th Century A somewhat long but very illuminating article by Kwame Bediako (Director, Akrofi-Christaller Memorial Centre for Mission Research & Applied Theology, Akropong-Akuapem, Ghana) regarding the status of African Primal Religions. While these traditions in the past have been declared "unuseable" as preparation for the gospel, such assessments have been radically revised in light of the doing of Christian theology in Africa by Africans.
