MILLIGAN COLLEGE, TN (April 26, 2007) --- The Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) has announced the 2007 Men’s and Women’s Tennis awards after the completion of the conference tournament held last weekend. Numerous members of the Buffs’ and Lady Buffs’ tennis teams received spots on the All-Conference teams.

Seniors Tom Jones (Johnson City, Tenn.) and Ryan Reynolds (Johnson City, Tenn.) along with freshman Charles Williams (Perth, Australia) were named to the All-AAC team. Two more freshmen earned spots on the honorable mention All-AAC team, Johnathon Ryan (Wangaratta, Australia) and Bryan Upshaw (Kingsport, Tenn.)

On the women’s side, Melissa Grgat (Melbourne, Australia) was the lone Lady Buff on the All-AAC team.

Reynolds also was named the AAC Sportsman of the Year. Jones was on the All-AAC Sportsmanship team to go along with his Academic All-AAC honor.

Krissi Denton (Bristol, Tenn.) was named to the All-AAC Sportsmanship team to go along with her Academic All-AAC honor.

Stuart Makinson (Franklin, N.C.) and Myra O’Dell (Kingsport, Tenn.) also earned spots on the Academic All-AAC team.
