ATHENS, TN (November 22, 2005) --- The Milligan College
Buffaloes men’s basketball team suffered an 85-69
defeat, in Appalachian Athletic Conference action,
Tuesday evening at Tennessee Wesleyan. With the loss,
Milligan now stands at 2-3 overall and 0-2 in the AAC
while TWC goes to 3-3 overall and evens their AAC record
to 1-1.
For
Milligan, junior forward Adrian Harrison
(Greensboro, N.C.) led all scorers with 26 points and
grabbed a team high six rebounds. Freshman center
Jeff Barnes (Franklin, Tenn.) also grabbed six
rebounds to go with his 14 points and junior guard
Zach Dezarn (Franklin, Ohio) added 11 points for the
Buffs.
The
TWC Bulldogs were led by Zach Gulmire with 19 points,
followed by Tyler Gaskin with 16 points. John Ferguson
scored 15 points to go along with 11 rebounds in the win
for the Bulldogs.
Next
for the Buffaloes is an exhibition game at East
Tennessee State University on Saturday, November 26. The
scheduled tip off from the Memorial Center is at 4 p.m.
Milligan’s home AAC opener is against rival King (Tenn.)
College on Tuesday, November 29. The tip off is
scheduled for 7:30, after the Milligan vs. King women’s
basketball game at the Steve Lacy Fieldhouse.
