Milligan men defeated in season opener BEREA, KY (November 5, 2005)---The Milligan College men’s basketball team was defeated by Berea College by a score of 76-68 on Saturday night in Berea, Ky. The Buffs were led by freshman Jeff Barnes (Franklin, Tenn.) who scored 25 points in his Milligan debut. Adrian Harrison (Greensboro, N.C.) and Yony Kifle (Alexandria, Va.) also made large contributions with 14 and 12 points respectively. Berea was paced by Melvin Brown and Chris McIntyre, who each scored 17 points. With the loss, Milligan opens the season 0-1. Berea, also playing their first game of the year, jumps out to a 1-0 start. Milligan will continue their season on Monday, Nov. 7, at home against Johnson Bible College. That game will begin at 7:30 p.m.
