LMU sweeps Milligan

Harrogate, TN-The Lady Railsplitters used solid pitching and timely hitting to sweep Milligan in a doubleheader on Thursday afternoon. They won the games 4-1 and 3-0. The loss in the first game snapped an eight-game winning streak for the Lady Buffs.

Game 1
Melissa Randolph limited the Lady Buffs to only five hits and one run over seven innings. She struck out five and didn't walk a batter.

The lone Milligan run was in the third inning when Shelby Banion doubled in Ashley Fine from third base with two outs. Fine singled and stole second base earlier in the inning. Banion was only players on either team to have more than one hit in the first game. She finished 2 for 3 with a RBI.

Game 2

Fine tossed six innings in relief but Milligan's bats couldn't get going against LMU's pitching.
