Waddle pitched Milligan to two more wins

Milligan College, TN—Brandy Waddle tosses two more complete games to help Milligan beat Brevard, 6-0 and 4-2. Milligan runs their record to 21-13 and 18-6 in the AAC Conference.

Sarah Steele came up a clutch two-run single in the bottom of the sixth to propel Milligan to 4-2 victory in the nightcap. She knocked in Rebecca Dawson and Danielle Gilley for the game-winning hit.

On the day, Danielle Gilley led the Lady Buffs going 5 for 6 with two doubles.

Carissa Ellis went 2 for 3 in game 2.

With the two win, Waddle improves to 16-12 on the season. She struck out 11, allowed 11 hits and two runs in fourteen innings of work. She tossed her fourth shutout of the season in game one. She lowered her ERA to a league-leading 1.07. She has only allowed 24 earn runs in 157 innings.

Milligan played without three starters due to injury. Brooke Davis and Ashley Fine are out for the season. Starting shortstop Andrea Henriott may play as soon as Wednesday against UVA-Wise.

Milligan will travel to Union on Monday for a make-up doubleheader and will host UVA-Wise on Wednesday. The seniors will be recognized on Wednesday between games.
