Milligan scores late beats Union
Barbourville, KY—Milligan broke up 2-2 tie, with seven runs in the eighth inning to propel them to 11-4 victory over Union. Milligan improves to 27-17 and 15-7 in the AAC Conference.

Todd Speas worked 8 innings on the mound to pick up his fifth win of the season. He improved to 5-3. He allowed three runs and seven hits, while striking out three. Chad Davis pitched the ninth for the Buffs.

Ben Whittemore led the charge for the Buffs. He finished the game going 4 for 5 with two doubles and three RBI’s. In the last three games, Whittemore is 10 for 12 with eight RBI’s. He raises his batting average to .376. The two doubles give him 21 on the season, three away for the Milligan record of 24. The three RBI’s give him 44 for the season.

Pat Gould went 3 for 5 with two RBI’s for the Buffs.

Dustin Price hit his sixth homerun of the season. He finished with two hits and two RBI’s.

Union’s Rick White went 2 for 4 with his third homerun of the season.

Bradley Stephenson picked up the loss for Union.

Milligan out hit the Bulldogs 17 to 8.

With the win and a Brevard loss, Milligan pulls into a second place tie with Brevard with two games to play in the AAC. Milligan concludes the regular season tomorrow with a doubleheader at Union while Brevard finishes their three-game series at Tennessee Wesleyan. TWC won the first game of the series, 16-5.
