Buffs lose opener at Regionals

Louisville, KY--Spalding University defeated Milligan, 11-2, in the first round of the Region XII Tournament in Louisville, Kentucky on Wednesday night.

Spalding's Brad Davis limited the Buffs to only two runs on four hits. He improves to 12-1 on the season.

Matt Simmons took the loss on the mound for the Buffs. He falls to 9-2.

Ben Whittemore led the Buffs at the plate, going 2 for 3 with two RBIs.

Jake Ford went 3 for 5 with 3 RBI's. The RBI's give him 97 on the season. He raises his batting average to .434 (96-221).

Milligan falls to 34-20 on the season.

Milligan will play Tennessee Wesleyan today at 3:00 PM. in the second round of the regional tournament at Derby City Park. Milligan must win to remain in the tournament.
