Milligan knocks off North Greenville, 3-2

Milligan College, TN- North Greenville jumped out to a 2-0 in the second inning but that is all they would manage to score on the day. Milligan tied the game up in the bottom of the fifth with two runs and took the lead for good in the bottom of the sixth when Benji Whittemore knocked in Jesse Dannemiller with two outs, giving Milligan a 3-2 victory. Milligan now improves to 11-9 on the season.

Brad Zachritz pitched a complete game allowing 4 hits and two runs on 96 pitches. He now improves to 2-2 with an ERA of 3.50.

Whittemore led the Buffs going 2-4 with an RBI and a run scored improving his average to .358 for the season. Dannemiller went 2-4 with a run scored improving his average to .325.

The two teams will conclude the three game series with a doubleheader on Saturday at 1:00 at Milligan College.
