Lister inks with Milligan College

Milligan College, TN--- Thomas Lister III, a two-sport standout from Greenville High School has signed to play baseball next season for the Buffaloes of Milligan College. Coach Danny Clark made the announcement.

Lister, who was an All-State Running Back, has chose to play baseball at the college level instead of football.

"It was easy decision. I like playing football, but I have always loved baseball," states Lister.

"We are very fortunate that Thomas chose to come to Milligan. He will make an immediate impact to our program on the field and in the classroom," says Clark.

Lister was the Conference Player of the Year and Team MVP for Greenville last season as a junior. He hit .445 (49 for 110) with 6 homeruns and 31 RBI's in 33 games. He scored 38 runs and stole eight bases without being caught. He reached base 62% of the time and slugged at a .718 pace.

After five games this season, Lister is 10 for 18 (.556) with two homeruns and 12 RBI's for Greenville. He has already scored eight runs in only five games.

"Milligan is the place I felt the most comfortable when I visited. I look forward to joining the Milligan program and working with Coach Clark," says Lister.

Thomas is the son of Jack Jr. and Ginger Lister of Greenville, TN.
