Milligan completes sweep over Alice Lloyd

Milligan College, TN—Milligan needed a win over Alice Lloyd to complete the sweep and remain in second place in the AAC. Milligan uses three big innings to run away with a 17-2 victory and improves to 23-14 and 12-5 in the conference.

Scott Shealy led the charge again for the Buffs. He went 2 for 3 with his sixth homerun of the season. He finished the game with four runs scored and three RBI’s. He also stolen two bases giving him 15 on the season, breaking the all-time Milligan stolen base record for a career with 52. He has only been caught one time this season and six times in his career.

Pat Gould had a big game for the Buffs. He went 2 for 3 with 3 RBI’s and two runs scored.

Nathan Chandler capped an eight run fifth inning with a three-run homer over the left field fence. It was Chandler first homer as a Buffalo. He also double in run giving him four RBI’s on the day.

Dustin Price picked up two more hits for the Buffs.

Todd Speas worked the first five innings picking up the win for the Buffs. He improves to 4-3 on the season. He allowed two run on five hits. He struck out five and walked four. Chris Shockley worked the sixth inning, striking out two. Josh Mitchell worked a perfect seventh to close the game for the Buffs.
