MILLIGAN COLLEGE, TN (April 19, 2007) --- Milligan College head track and field coach Chris Layne announced this week that Michael Kimson will join the Milligan men’s track and field team for the 2007-2008 school year. 

Kimson, a 2006 graduate of Venice High School in Venice, Fla., has a personal best of 150 feet in the discus throw. He was also the 2006 district and tri-county champion in that event. Kimson also specialized in the javelin throw.

“We’re excited our throws program is growing, and we’re confident Michael can help score points for us at the conference and national level,” said Layne.

The son of Steve and Teresa Kimson, Michael was coached by his father in high school. The Kimson family now resides in Elizabethton.
