ELK, NC (February 10, 2007) --- The Milligan College men’s
tennis team lost to NCAA Division II member Lees-McRae
(N.C.) College by the score of 7-2 on Saturday afternoon.
The matches were played indoors in Banner Elk, N.C. The loss
drops Milligan’s spring record down to 0-2 so far while
Lees-McRae moves to 1-1.
Charles Williams
(Perth, Australia) and
Bryan Upshaw (Kingsport, Tenn.) picked up
Milligan’s two points. Williams won his No. 4 singles match
8-5 over Romulus Teague and Upshaw defeated Charles Whiteley
8-4 in their No. 5 match.
The
Milligan men’s and women’s teams will be back in action
Saturday, February 17 at Mars Hill (N.C.) College. The match
is scheduled to begin at noon.
