Milligan men win convincingly

WISE, VA (February 13, 2007) --- The Milligan College men’s basketball team defeated UVa.-Wise by a score of 67-54 in an Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) match up on Tuesday night in Wise, Va.

Jeff Barnes (Franklin, Tenn.) paved the way for the Buffs with 19 points and 10 rebounds. Zach Dezarn (Franklin, Ohio) scored 17 points, Danny McKeehan (Morrow, Ohio) scored 11 points and grabbed seven rebounds, and Tyler Estepp (Limestone, Tenn.) also scored 11 points.

Milligan shot 50 percent (23-for-46) from the floor in the game.

The win improves the Buffs to 21-8 on the season and 12-5 in AAC play.

The Buffs will host AAC opponent Montreat College on Saturday, Feb. 17, in the final game of the regular season. Tip off for that game will be at 7:30 p.m. in the Steve Lacy Fieldhouse.
